A few moments - the hand of a clock shifts forward. A few minutes - a snail crawls across a fence. A few centuries - fire travels from an object of worship to an object of extraction. The film is a collection of poetic micro-observations about different temporalities - subjective, cultural, historical - through everyday scenes filmed in the United States, Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Serbia. Fragmented moments form a mosaic and become the filmmaker's personal search for the elusive present moment.
