Ugía, Torres Alocaz (Utrera, Sevilla)

We ventured into Ugía, an important Roman site located on the Via Augusta between Hispalis and Gades. It survived the ravages of time until the Middle Ages, becoming known as Torres Alocaz, a name its ruins retain to this day. Located within the municipality of Utrera, in the province of Seville, it is currently in a deplorable state of disrepair and at risk of collapse. The site protected not only the Roman road from Seville to Cádiz but also the surrounding natural resources.
