In the humid, neon-etched streets of Lenoir, North Carolina, childhood best friends Mason and Millz are navigating the razor-thin line between the life they were born into and the future they hope to build. Mason is the quiet observer, striving to maintain a straight-line exit from the neighborhood's cycle of poverty. His best friend, Millz, is a natural-born hustler who has fully embraced the quick-fire allure of the street, convinced that the only way to beat the system is to own a piece of it. But in Lenoir, loyalty is a high-interest loan that can break even the strongest bonds. When a botched transaction leads to Millz being suddenly incarcerated, he leaves behind a lethal $3,000 debt to a local kingpin. In a ruthless move of street politics, the dealer transfers the full weight of the debt onto the "clean" member of the duo, holding Mason accountable for his best friend's mistake. With a strict one-week deadline to settle an account he didn't create, Mason is forced to step into the shadows he spent his life avoiding.
