The Santiagos are a Filipino-American family of seven crammed into one tiny Los Angeles apartment, all chasing distant showbiz dreams and doing their best to survive poverty, bad luck, and each other - without ever giving up. We follow them through a year in the life: In Spring, as Fred gets stuck at home and ignored by his family. Summer, when a misunderstood photograph causes the family to turn on one of their own. Fall, in which Sandra and Leah attend a film-industry party that goes all wrong. And Winter, when the family gets kicked out of their apartment and everything comes to a head at a film festival.
