From the outside, drawing teacher Rita Govorova seems to have a successful life. In reality, she's long dreamed of having children, but her husband, Dima, is against it. Tired of their endless arguments, Rita flies to Siberia, but her helicopter crashes in the taiga. Dima rushes to find his wife, assisted by investigator Irina Filatova. Rita manages to escape, but the stress of the accident leaves her with memory loss. Local hunter Matvey Kalugin finds the unconscious woman and brings her to a remote village. Now Rita could begin a new life, but during the crash, she accidentally ends up with a stolen diamond, and smugglers are already on her trail.
