Truck drivers worldwide lead an arduous life. Long and lonely hours behind the wheel, sleepless nights and the longing to return home after a journey that sometimes takes them across the country. North America is a large continent that stretches across thousands of miles. It depends heavily on the trucking industry to ship its goods. Thousands of men and women have made truck driving their profession. Many among them are Punjabis. "Life on the Road" is the story of one, such a young Punjab man, whose dreams are much bigger than the life he leads on the Highways of America.
