Morphic
When bipolar disorder fractures her reality, Barbara slips into a hallucinatory dream world born from her excesses in Berlin - a world that gradually dissolves into pure abstraction. MORPHIC is an experimental feature film where autobiography collides with delirium, memory and trance. Barbara - the writer, producer and fragmented protagonist - moves through Berlin made of neon, altered states, late-night addictions and emotional implosions. Her alter-ego Laura confronts desire, self-destruction, mania and erotic chaos, while an older version of Barbara narrates, judges and destabilizes the story itself. The film begins by breaking its own frame: a teaser appears before the narrative even starts, followed by the filmmaker older alter-ego yelling because of it. Reality and friction fray. As Berlin's nights intensify, Barbara morphs into a series of dream-bodies, hallucinations and finally into abstraction- color, rhythm and electronic sound. inspired by Barbara Brogi's book Autobiographical (available on Amazon), the film transforms personal breakdown into cinematic ritual.
Morphic is a 2026 movie.
