Kogda gorit ogon

The peaceful life of a small village is turned upside down by a high-profile crime: a local resident Vasiliy goes fishing with his 12-year-old daughter Dasha, and soon his body is found on the shore. The girl with a head injury lies nearby, and next to her is a gun. Everything indicates that Dasha accidentally shot her father. However, the village paramedic Lera is not ready to accept this version. The heroine undertakes not only to nurse the girl back to health, but also, with the support of the local district police officer Mikhail, to protect her from a terrible accusation. Together they begin their investigation. Meanwhile, Nikita, a surgeon at the district hospital, falls in love with Lera. Lera herself was recently a talented surgical resident in a capital clinic, but after experiencing a personal tragedy, she ran away and got a low-prestige job in the wilderness. Continuing to treat local residents and learning more and more about the relationships between them, the heroine realizes that literally every one of Vasiliy's neighbors could have wanted his death.
